Level 1[]

Level 1 introduces floppy disks and pipes as well as introducing the player to the controls. To complete the level the player should move forward, jump over a platform, slide under a narrow passage, and then touch the checkered spot.

Video

Level 2[]

Level 2 introduces lasers, cables, Slime's tongue ability, and buttons. To complete the level the player should avoid two white lasers, slide under a narrow passage, avoid a cable, go through a pipe, and move to where a overturned can is. A cut scene will play of Slime absorbing the pink liquid that pours from the overturned can and Slime will gain a mouth. With the new ability the player should go near the button over the red section of the floor and press the spacebar to use Slime's tongue. The player should then avoid two red lasers and touch the finish line.

Level 3[]

Level 3 introduces swings, pods, berry trees, wasps, slime, spinning cubes, and spikes. To complete the level the player should jump onto a swing to get over a gap, go through a pod, jump on two berries on a berry tree, eat the wasps present in the area, and go through another pod. Then the player should absorb slime, avoid the red laser while jumping onto several spinning cubes, and finally touch the finish line to complete the level.

The trick to avoiding the red laser is to wait till its beam sweeps the front of a spinning cube and then jump on top of the cube from the opposite side. The player should make sure the red laser is going down rather than up otherwise Slime will get killed.

Level 4[]

Level 4 introduces fans, purple acid and moving platforms. Level four starts out differently from the previous level with purple acid rising from below. Instead of having to go in several directions to reach the finish line the player only has to go one direction, up.

The tricky part of the level is the moving platforms. A tip to get past this area is when Slime jumps on one platform watch for the moving platform above which should move very close and then jump onto it which will result in Slime being two platforms ahead of the rising purple acid.

Level 5[]

Level 5 introduces spinning circles ,quick sand, and burrowing bugs. To complete the level the player should go through three spinning circles, avoid a laser, drop down a shaft where several lasers are on the walls of the shaft, go through a pod, jump over quick sand, eat a the nearby enemies, bounce on a berry tree to get over spikes, and finally go through a pod and step onto the finish line.

Level 6[]

Level 6 introduces yellow goo and spinning spheres. To complete the level the player should jump across a gap by the aid of a spinning sphere and two swings, wall jump useing yellow goo to reach a high area, and jump over several spinning spheres to cross a gap. Then the player should make their way downwards while avoiding a red laser, avoid several white lasers, and finally step onto the finish line.

A trick to avoid the red laser in this level is to jump onto the second platform when the red laser is at the bottom of the shaft and then wait for the red laser to come up. When the beam of the laser is stopped by the platform the player should drop down on the other side.

Level 7[]

Level 7 introduces water. To complete the level the player should got through a pod, jump onto a berry tree to a higher platform, move through the gap filled with water, jump onto the berries of the berry trees to avoid touching the spikes, go through another pod, and press a button. Then the player should go through yet another pod, use a berry tree to jump over a patch of spikes, jump over two patches of quicksand and eat the wasps that may attack the player, slide through a narrow passage, go through a pod, and finally touch the finish line.

Level 8[]

Level 8 starts out with purple acid rising from the floor. After climbing to the top of a platform by the aid of yellow goo, the player then has to jump on some spinning spheres to get to some platforms that lead to two fans. After choosing one fan, the player will fly up ward and then be forced to evade the spikes above. The last part of the level involves jumping onto several spinning spheres to get upwards and touch the finish line to complete the level.

Level 9[]

Level 9 introduces gravity switchers. To complete the level the player should go through the pipe on the left, go through two narrow passages, go through a pip, and step on a gravity switcher. The player should then go across the ceiling and step on another gravity switcher, slide through a pipe, step on another gravity switcher, go across several spinning spheres, step on yet another gravity switcher to land on the floor, go past a couple white lasers, slide through some turning circles, and finally step onto the finish line.

Level 10[]

Level 10 introduces seesaw platforms. To complete the level the player should slide under a cable, jump over two seesaw platforms, avoid a red laser, jump over two seesaw platforms suspended over purple acid, and absorb a slime bit. Then the player should jump on spinning cubes while avoiding two red lases, slide through a narrow passage, jump across some spikes pits, slide through several spinning circles and finally touch the finish line.

A trick to get past the two red lasers that move on a rail is to jump onto the first spinning cube and wait for the red lasers beam to be blocked by the next one. Then while its beam is blocked the player should quickly jump on top of the spinning cube and then onto the third one from the floor. then the player should do the same thing with the next laser but this time after that player has jumped onto the spinning cube they should jump up onto the raised platform as jumping onto the other spinning cube that is closets to the ceiling will make it hard to jump from it to the raised platform.

Level 11[]

Level 11 introduces Anglerfish. To complete level 11 the player should push slime through a narrow passage, absorb the slime and go through a pod, drop into a pool of water, and jump out on the other side. Then the player should go though another pool of water, eat two Anglerfish, slide through a narrow passage, and go through a pod.

After dropping down a shaft. The player should then slide over or under several spinning spheres with spikes on them depending on which way they are turning, jump across two swings while avoiding the spikes of four spinning spheres, and finally touch the finish line. A tip for getting past the area with the spinning spheres with three spikes on them is to jump and slide over them when they are moving counter clockwise or to slide under them when they are moving clockwise.

Level 12[]

Level 12 starts out with purple acid rising from the floor. After going upwards a bit the player will encounter moving platforms, then a swing, and another section of moving platforms. Above is a checkpoint pad as well as several small platforms and spinning spheres. Above the spinning spheres is two white lasers and on will be on while the other is off. The player is forced to jump onto a platform below one and then jump away and climb up a area where yellow goo is stuck to the wall. The last part of the level involves jumping on see-saw platforms and tipping them so that the player can jump onto the one above.

Video

Level 13[]

To complete level 13 the player should go right, avoid several lasers, two spinning spheres, and then activate a button. The player should then go back near to the start of the level (either walk back or kill Slime), drop down a shaft with laser and yellow goo, and then fall down to the bottom by timing their jumps to stick to the yellow goo and avoid the laser beams. The player should then step on a gravity switcher, avoid several gravity switchers that are placed over purple acid, slide through some spinning circles, return gravity to normal, and avoid a red laser. Then the player should jump on a fan, avoid the spiked platforms, and then touch the finish line to complete the level.

Video

Level 14[]

To complete level 13 the player must jump across some moving platforms and see-saw platforms, slide through a spinning circle, jump across some spinning spheres, slide through another circle, and slide through a narrow tunnel. Then the player should go through a pod, go over quicksand, eat the wasps and clawed bugs present in the section, and got through another pod. Then the player should absorb a slime bit, go through a pod, fall into a pool of water, eat three Anglerfish, jump out of the water, go through another pod, and finally step onto the finish line.

Level 15[]

Level 15 is the final level of Slime Laboratory 2 and starts out with rising purple acid. At the start of the level is some turning spheres with yellow goo on the walls near them allowing the player to jump from the yellow goo to a higher spinning sphere to get higher. Then the player will then encounter several lasers placed horizontally in a narrow vertical passage with yellow goo on one side o the passage. Upon going ahead the player will then have to jump on a fan and then they will have to avoid the multiple spiked platforms. The end of the level will not have a finnish line but instead the player will be pushed off the screen by going through a funnel like part of the level.

Ending of Slime Laboratory 2

The ending of Slime Laboratory 2 depicts Slime (the character) bursting out of a building yelling "Not Again!" Text underneath the image says "Uh-oh, looks like time for another adventure!"

Glitches[]

Moving platforms glitch[]

In levels with rising purple acid, moving platforms are often placed one above each other. Because of this placing it is possible to jump and then get caught in the platform and be unable to get out. While in the platform it is possible to move around in it with sometimes Slime will explode when caught on the edge, though this rarely happen.

Disfigured glitch[]

Sometimes by jumping in a certain way, some of Slime's body will stretch a bit and drag on a platform (this mostly happens with swings and moving platforms) and Slime will end up disfigured. While disfigured, Slime will jump lower and not as far.

Getting stuck in a swing[]

Sometimes by crouching on a swing and holding the button long enough, Slime will get stuck in a swing which is a glitch also present in Slime Laboratory. While in the swing, Slime can make it move left or right and sometimes will be dislodged from it. If the player wishes to dislodge Slime quickly, they simply need to press the jump button rapidly to get out.

Enemies[]

  • Wasps - Will kill the player on sight and appear in the air. Eating a wasp will kill it.
  • Anglerfish - Anglerfish will kill the player on sight and only appear in the water. Eating a anglerfish will destroy them.
  • Burrowing bugs - Only appear in the ground and will come out from it when the player is near. Eating a burrowing bug will destroy them.

Hazards[]

  • Spikes - Kill the player on contact.
  • Cables - Hang from the ceiling and will electrocute the player.
  • Lasers - will kill the player if they touch the laser beam.
  • Purple acid - In some level rises from the floor or is placed below platforms. Touching purple acid will kill the player.
  • Spinning spheres - Have spikes on them and the spike will kill the player.
  • Quick sand - Will cause the player to sink below and die unless they jump to stay above it.

Pickups[]

  • Floppy disks - Will grant points upon touch.
  • Slime - Will make the player larger upon touch. Crouching and moving against slime will cause it to move and not be absorbed by the player.

Interactive Objects[]

  • Fans - Will send the player upwards if they stand on top of them.
  • Swings - Can be made to swing back and fourth by the movement of the player.
  • Gravity switchers - Changes gravity and will make the player go on the ceiling or the floor depending which way the arrows on the gravity switcher are pointing.
  • Yellow goo - Appears on walls and if the player jumps onto them they will stick on the wall and then can jump off the goo to preform a wall jump.
  • Pods - Small passages with doors on either end that allow the player to go through areas with ground on them to areas with metal titles.
  • Water - The player can go deeper into water once slime is collected. Jump while in water will cause the player to bob upwards.
  • Berry trees - The berries on the trees can be jumped upon and will give the player a boost when they jump off a berry.
  • Pads - Checkered ones will allow the player to go to the next level while the other ones that will glow when the player touches them function as checkpoints, allowing the player to respawn there when they die.
  • Moving platforms - Move from left to right.
  • Seesaw platforms - These function like a seesaw and will tip to either side if the player goes to far to one side.
