Gunships are enemies found in the game Ray Quest. Below the types of gunships are listed.
Yellow gunships[]
Appearance[]
Yellow gunships have a rectangular body with a pointed top that has a dark yellow rectangle placed on either side of it. At the back of the ship's body, that slightly goes into the middle, is a rectangular black glass window.
At the front of the ship is a patch of dark yellow that has a slot in the middle of it. The slot is dark grey with a red dot put on either side of it and from it comes yellow bullets.
Game information[]
Yellow gunships first appear on level 1 and only appear in the city world. Yellow gunships will come from the top of the screen and stop at a certain point. After a certain period of time has passed, the yellow gunship will fire three yellow bullets, then stop, move to the top of the screen, and disappear. After the yellow gunships health bar has been depleted, the ship will blow up and grant 1000 points.
X-shaped gunships[]
Appearance[]
X-shaped gunships are shaped like a x that is tilted sideways. The body of the X-shaped gunship is shaped like a diamond and it has two flaps on either side of it. The flaps are light brown with some darker brown flecks on them and they are placed near the middle of the ship's body.
Like the flaps, the rest of the ship's body is light brown but with some parts of it being lighter and dark shades of light brown. Near the top of the ship's body is four black dots which three of them have a pink dot in them while one doesn't. Near the front of the ship is a large black dot that has a pink gleam to it.
Game information[]
X-shaped gunships first appear on level 9 and only appear in the base. X-shaped gunship will come from the top of the screen, move forward, and then stop at certain point. The ship will sway side to side and then fire four blue bullets. The ship will then move to the top of the screen and disappear. After the X-shaped gunship's health bar is depleted, the ship will blow up and grant 600 points.
Variation[]
The variation of the x-shaped gunship first appears on level 14. The variation is the same shape as the x-shaped gunship except it is larger. The variation is also black instead of light brown and the dots on it have a small amount of turquoise on it instead of pink.
Like the x-shaped gunship, the variation will come onto the screen, sway side to side, and shoot blue bullets except the variation will shoot more of them and at a slower pace. Like the x-shaped gunship, the variation will wait a certain period of time and then fly back to the top of the screen and disappear. Also the variation will blow up and grant 600 points when its health bar is depleted.
Blue and white gunships[]
Appearance[]
Blue and white gun ships have a diamond shaped body that is white. On the body of the blue and white gunship is a blue and whitish blue oval placed near the front. At the back of the ship's body is a light blue triangle placed on either side of the back of the ship. Likewise, two triangles of the same colour are placed on the front of the ship but they are considerably smaller then the ones on the back.

Blue and white gunships first appear on level 17. The blue and white gun ships will come from the top of the screen and then stop at a certain point. The ship will sway side to side an then fire yellow bullets two by two and then stop for a short period of time and then fly to the top of the screen and then disappear. Once the health in the blue and white gunship's health bar has been depleted, the ship will blow up and grant 700 points.
Dark grey gunships[]
Appearance[]
Dark grey gunships have a dark grey triangle flap coming from the back of either side of them. Placed beside the base of the flap is a red rectangle that goes half way up the flap's base. The red rectangles separate the flaps from the dark grey gunship's body that is a octagon.
The top half of the ship's body is a lighter shade of dark grey than the flaps. The top half of the ship's body has the top of a circle in the middle of it that is the same shade of dark grey as the flap. The lower part of the ship's body is a upside down light blue trapezoid the gleams.
Game information[]
Dark grey gunships first appear on level 29. Dark grey gunships will come from the top of the screen and move forward then stop. The dark grey gun ship will fire three orange bullets after a period of time. After the ship has fired three orange bullets, it will move to the top of the screen and disappear. Upon depleting all of the dark grey gunships health from the health bar, the ship will explode and grant 1000 points.
